Dr. Ye Guo-Shin, the first in Asia to earn a PhD in “Art Authentication” from the UK and founder of the Mo Hai Lou International Art Research Group, shares his insights on the unique role of an art authenticator in the art industry. He describes it as a vital bridge connecting collectors, auction houses, and museums, which is one of the reasons he loves this profession.

Dr. Ye also highlights that Taiwan’s collectors are incredibly powerful and rank among the best internationally, though many of them maintain a very low profile, making their influence less noticeable.

Currently, the “Art Connoisseurship Exhibition,” curated by Dr. Ye Guo-Shin, is being held at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. This meticulously planned exhibition teaches visitors how to identify evidence of authenticity in artworks and showcases numerous case studies.
