Omar Cask Strength Single Malt Whiskey – Fu Baoshi Fu Yiyao Commemorative Edition
Omar Fu Baoshi Fu Yiyao Commemorative Edition Whiskey
The Mo Hai Lou Art Research Institute has partnered with Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation to launch a unique commemorative whiskey: Omar Cask Strength Single Malt Whiskey Fu Baoshi Fu Yiyao Commemorative Edition. This limited edition whiskey features four important ink paintings by the renowned artists Fu Baoshi and Fu Yiyao on its label. This marks the first time in Taiwan that the works of these masters have been used as whiskey labels and the first whiskey brand in Taiwan to receive authorization from world-class artists.
Dr. Ye Guoshin, Executive Director of Mo Hai Lou Art Research Institute and an international art appraiser, emphasized the challenges of securing this authorization. He noted that the collaboration represents a rare fusion of art and whiskey, with immense commemorative value, supported by the Fu family.
In the international market, showcasing the works of renowned artists on whiskey labels enhances both the collectible and investment value. Dr. Ye believes this collaboration with Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation will transform Mo Hai Lou’s artistic philosophy into a rich aesthetic experience within the whiskey.
Fu Yiyao shared his thoughts on the collaboration, stating that like wine, art should be rich and full of texture, with value lying in quality rather than quantity. He pointed out that this commemorative edition excels in both the presentation of art and whiskey. Reflecting on his father’s lifelong passion for wine, Fu believes this love was inseparable from his creative process. This commemorative edition invites enthusiasts to savor both exquisite whiskey and outstanding artworks, embodying the concept of “constant intoxication” and the deep meaning behind it.
