Dr. Ye Guo-Shin Collaborates with Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation and the National Museum of History to Launch a Limited Edition 200-Set High-End Flagship Artist Series Whisky

Dr. Ye Guo-Shin, founder of the Mo Hai Lou International Art Research Group and a renowned art connoisseur, began his whisky journey while studying in the UK. In Scotland, he discovered his passion for whisky, tasting with enthusiasts and searching for rare bottles at auctions. He particularly appreciates whiskys with rich historical significance and complex flavors. As the Chair of the Taiwan Selection Committee for the SPEY /King’s School of Traditional Arts Scholarship, he promotes Taiwanese artists by showcasing their works on whisky labels.

Dr. Ye introduced the “Savoring Delight Among the Blossoms” Series, a limited-edition release supported by Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation and the National Museum of History. This series features the classic works of Master Chang Yu, particularly Lotus and Potted Plant, as whisky labels. Chang Yu’s paintings have set record prices at auctions, garnering significant attention in the art world, and many products quickly obtained digital image licensing for his work.

Additionally, the 92-year-old pioneering Taiwanese artist Professor Chen Yin-Hui unveiled his work Sunflowers, along with his disciple Professor Su Hsien-Fa’s Sakura Dance. These works symbolize themes of the continuation of life and transformation. In the post-pandemic era, Taiwan looks forward to revival and prosperity, hoping to usher in a vibrant new generation.

Dr. Ye emphasized the aesthetic philosophy of selecting master artists with innovative styles rooted in Taiwan. These artists, including the well-known Chang Yu and post-war figures such as Chen Yin-Hui and Su Hsien-Fa, have made critical contributions to the development of modern Taiwanese art.
