Curator Dr. Ye Guoxin expressed his deep respect for Professor Fu’s art and character, recalling their previous collaboration that led to successful academic lectures at National Taiwan Normal University and National Taiwan University of Arts in 2015. This exhibition, “Yao’s Sentiments Across Distances,” has taken two to three years to plan and aims to showcase her artistic essence. Professor Wang Tao emphasized the importance of the exhibition, highlighting not only the continuation of Fu Baoshi’s tradition but also the emergence of new styles, providing a glimpse into a “great moment where the essence of the universe converges in one individual.” Professor Fu Yiyao also expressed her sincere gratitude for the warm support from various quarters and to curator Dr. Ye Guoxin and advisor Wang Tao. She noted that the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall holds a special place in her heart, having participated in the centennial exhibition of Fu Baoshi there twelve years ago, and the participation of so many distinguished guests serves as a significant encouragement for her ongoing artistic journey.
The exhibition, which includes classical art creations such as calligraphy, paintings, and ceramics, will be on display at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall’s Bo’ai Gallery until November 2. The Mokai Art International Research Institute, known for its expertise in art authentication, aims to leverage this exhibition to connect global art with Taiwan and promote international cultural and artistic exchanges.
